Amsterdam Christmas Market hours differ from one market to the next. On the map, the two with 2026 dates open at 11:00 or 12:00 and close between 17:00 and 21:00, with shorter evenings from Christmas Day onwards.

Christmas Eve keeps the normal 12:00 to 21:00, while Christmas Day and Boxing Day end two hours earlier. Sunday 27 December, its final day, runs from 12:00 to 18:00. The Maker Market XL finishes on Wednesday 23 December, before any of these days. Among the markets with confirmed dates, none opens on 31 December or 1 January.

When the Amsterdam Christmas Markets open later or close early
Opening times start an hour apart: The Maker Market XL lets visitors in from 11:00, Christmas Village Amsterdam from 12:00.
On Saturday 19 December, The Maker Market XL stays open until 20:00 and adds an extra entry slot from 17:00. From Sunday 20 to Wednesday 23 December it shuts at 17:00.
Christmas Village Amsterdam closes at 21:00 each evening from 3 to 24 December. Over Christmas its evenings get shorter: closing moves to 19:00 on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and to 18:00 on Sunday 27 December.
