The Belfast Christmas Markets on the map, one by one

1. Belfast Christmas Market
The Belfast Christmas Market fills the City Hall grounds with chalets where local and international traders sell handcrafted gifts, festive decorations and artisan products. An outdoor food court with bars, a vintage carousel and a giant helter-skelter looking out across Belfast complete the market. The council brought in Market Place for a pilot in 2004, and it has operated the market ever since. It runs from Saturday 14 November to Tuesday 22 December 2026. No entry ticket is needed.

2. Christmas Twilight Market
Belfast City Council holds the Christmas Twilight Market inside St George's Market, a Victorian market hall built between 1890 and 1896, and Sonic Events runs it on the council's behalf. It is a craft and food market under the roof of the old hall. The 2026 dates have not been announced yet.

3. Cathedral Quarter Christmas Sunday Art Market
The Cathedral Quarter Christmas Sunday Art Market is the Christmas edition of an open-air art market presented by Cathedral Quarter BID (Business Improvement District). It last lined Hill Street, a pedestrian way in the Cathedral Quarter. Dates for the 2026 Christmas edition are still to be announced.

5. Frock Around the Clock Christmas Handmade and Vintage Fair

Food and drink at the Christmas Markets in Belfast
Belfast Christmas Market food is gathered in the outdoor festive food court of the Belfast Christmas Market at City Hall, where bars stand next to the food stalls. The savoury choice mixes German, Dutch and international dishes: bratwurst (German sausage), Dutch pancakes and exotic meat burgers come alongside gourmet street food and a spread of international cuisine.
On the sweeter and deli side, the market sells Italian chocolates and speciality cheeses from around the world, plus warm seasonal treats for the walk between the chalets. The hot drink to look for is Glühwein (mulled wine), handed over in warming mugs.
The six smaller markets on the map have not given any food details for 2026 yet, so all of these dishes belong to the market in the City Hall grounds.
Christmas Markets in Belfast in November and December
Of the Christmas Markets in Belfast in November, the Belfast Christmas Market alone has fixed its 2026 dates so far. Trading in the City Hall grounds begins on Saturday 14 November 2026, in the middle of the month, and the chalets, food court and rides then stay in place for the rest of November.
The Christmas Markets in Belfast in December come down to the same market for now: it carries on through the month up to its last day, Tuesday 22 December. The six smaller markets on the map have not announced their 2026 dates yet, so none of them can be placed in November or December at this stage.
No market on the map lists a date beyond 22 December, so the season published so far finishes before Christmas Eve.
