The Brussels Christmas Markets on the map, one by one

1. Place de la Bourse
Place de la Bourse (Beursplein) belongs to Winter Wonders, which Brussels Major Events runs for the City of Brussels. Its chalets trade in savoury and sweet dishes, handmade goods and festive drinks. Béarn-Pyrénées and the Basque Country, the 2026 guest regions, bring a Basque-Béarnese village here. Nearby, the Grand-Place has its Christmas tree, a nativity scene and a sound and light show after dark. No entry ticket is needed. Dates: Friday 27 November 2026 until Sunday 3 January 2027.

2. Place de la Monnaie
Place de la Monnaie (Muntplein) is another Winter Wonders site under Brussels Major Events. Its chalets offer food, gift ideas and activities for all ages. No entry ticket is needed. The square keeps to the Winter Wonders calendar, opening on Friday 27 November 2026 and staying open until Sunday 3 January 2027.

3. Place Sainte-Catherine
Place Sainte-Catherine (Sint-Katelijneplein) has gourmet chalets next to Sainte-Catherine Church and a hand-crafted carousel whose creatures draw on Jules Verne, for riders up to 11. Round the back of the church, the Black Tower (Tour Noire) area turns into a candy-cane children's village with Santa's Chalet, where creative workshops take place and Saint Nicholas and Santa Claus drop in. No entry ticket is needed; the carousel has its own ticket. Open Friday 27 November 2026 until Sunday 3 January 2027.

4. Vismet
Vismet, the Winter Wonders site on the Marché aux Poissons (Vismarkt), mixes chalets of sweet and savoury food with original gift ideas, and its Ferris wheel gives a view over the market. No entry ticket is needed; the Ferris wheel has its own ticket. It opens with the rest of Winter Wonders on Friday 27 November 2026 and closes on Sunday 3 January 2027.

5. Place De Brouckère
Place De Brouckère (De Brouckèreplein) holds the Winter Wonders ice rink, under a transparent roof, with a corner set aside for toddlers and clip-on skates sized for small children. The square adds virtual reality, a snowball-toss game, Santa's reindeer and curling lanes, while its chalets sell sweet treats beside covered terraces. No entry ticket is needed; the ice rink and the curling lanes have their own tickets. Season: Friday 27 November 2026 until Sunday 3 January 2027.

The Marché de Noël de l'Os à Moelle gathers makers, with stalls both inside and out, at L'Os à Moelle, the Schaerbeek cabaret that organises it. Among the 2026 makers named so far: jewellery, candles, paper goods, dried-flower pieces, hand-knits, ceramics and porcelain. A photobooth, balloon sculpting, face painting, children's tales, concerts and Santa's visit fill the programme. No entry ticket is needed. Four days: Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 December 2026.

Food and drink at the Christmas Markets in Brussels
Brussels Christmas Market food at Winter Wonders leans on Belgian snacks and Christmas sweets. On the sweet side there are crêpes, churros, plain and Liège waffles and croustillons (Belgian doughnut balls), plus the seasonal cougnou (Belgian Christmas brioche), cuberdons (cone-shaped raspberry sweets) and wheels of nougat sliced to order.
For something savoury, chalets serve flame-grilled salmon, croquettes, Belgian fries with home-made sauces, tartiflette in classic and vegetarian versions, and stoemp (Brussels mash of potatoes and vegetables). Seafood stalls add oysters, smoked salmon and platters of seafood.
The drinks are hot chocolate, red or white mulled wine (vin chaud), mulled wine in the Alsace style and Belgian wines, while péket (Walloon gin) and genever cover the stronger end. Jams, chutneys and tapenades are on sale as well.
Out in Schaerbeek, the bar of the Marché de Noël de l'Os à Moelle pours home-made mulled wine and serves tartiflette over the market weekend.
Which Brussels Christmas Markets are open in November, and which in December?
On the map, the Christmas Markets in Brussels in November come down to Winter Wonders, which opens on Place de la Bourse, Place de la Monnaie, Place Sainte-Catherine, the Vismet and Place De Brouckère on Friday 27 November 2026. For the Christmas Markets in Brussels in December, the map adds the Marché de Noël de l'Os à Moelle in Schaerbeek, from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 December 2026. On the Grand-Place, the sound and light show plays in the evenings, except on 24 December, 31 December and 3 January.
Winter Wonders carries on past Christmas and into the New Year, closing on Sunday 3 January 2027.
