When do the Christmas Markets in Brussels start?

Among the markets with confirmed dates, Winter Wonders opens first, on Friday 27 November 2026, at the five Winter Wonders sites on the map (1 to 5), and keeps going until Sunday 3 January 2027. The Marché de Noël de l'Os à Moelle (8) follows in December, from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 December 2026. Markets 6 and 7 have no 2026 dates yet.

Winter Wonders does not open in stages. Place de la Bourse (1), Place de la Monnaie (2), Place Sainte-Catherine (3), Vismet (4) and Place De Brouckère (5) start on the same Friday and finish on the same Sunday, so one pair of dates covers the lower town. More detail on the 2026 Winter Wonders programme is due from November 2026.

The next confirmed opening comes in Schaerbeek on Thursday 10 December: the Os à Moelle Christmas Market is a makers' market of four days, Thursday to Sunday, held while Winter Wonders is already under way. The Anderlecht Christmas Market, which took place on Place de la Vaillance in December 2024, and Christmas Stockel Village, on Place Dumon in December 2025, have not yet set a 2026 opening day.

No closed day has been announced within the 2026 run of any market with confirmed dates. The Winter Wonders practical information gives the 2026 dates of the event and its daily hours. The home page of the Marché de Noël de l'Os à Moelle, in French, gives its four days in December 2026 and its venue in Schaerbeek.

The Os à Moelle Christmas Market is over well before Christmas: Sunday 13 December 2026 is its fourth and closing day.

Among the markets with confirmed dates, the five Winter Wonders sites on the map are the ones that carry on past Christmas. Their stalls trade on 24 and 25 December, on 31 December and on 1 January, and the run ends on Sunday 3 January 2027, a day on which the squares close earlier than usual. No closed day has been announced between the opening and the closing day.

For the Anderlecht Christmas Market and Christmas Stockel Village, neither a 2026 opening day nor a closing day is known yet.

Winter Wonders dates back to 2001. It opened on the final Friday of November in 2024 and in 2025, and the 2026 run keeps to that Friday as well. Its closing day has moved more: Sunday 5 January in 2025, New Year's Day in 2026, when the ice rink on Place De Brouckère stayed open to the following Sunday, and Sunday 3 January in 2027.

Outside the centre, the December markets on the map have had short runs. Christmas Stockel Village went from a Tuesday to a Sunday in both 2024 and 2025, the Anderlecht Christmas Market took a Friday-to-Sunday weekend in 2024, and the Os à Moelle Christmas Market used Thursday to Sunday in 2025, the same four weekdays as in 2026.
