What the numbers on the Krakow Christmas Market map mean
Each card carries the number of its pin on the map of the Krakow Christmas Markets: three pins in the Old Town, one across the Vistula in Podgórze. Organisers, stalls and food of each fair feature under Christmas Markets in Krakow.
1. Christmas Fair in the Main Market Square
Pin 1 is the centre point of the map: the Main Market Square (Rynek Główny), 31-042 Kraków, in the Old Town. The Jarmark Bożonarodzeniowy na Rynku Głównym, as the fair is called in Polish, stands next to the Cloth Hall, in the part of the square nearer the Town Hall Tower. The other cards measure from this pin.
2. Christmas Fair on the Small Market Square
Pin 2 marks Mały Rynek, 31-041 Kraków, 0.2 km east of the centre point and still inside the Old Town. In Polish the fair goes by Kiermasz Bożonarodzeniowy na Małym Rynku; craft huts and a food zone fill the square, with the Main Market Square just to its west.

3. Christmas Fair of Unique Items in Podgórze
Pin 3 sits on Rynek Podgórski, 30-518 Kraków, in the Podgórze district on the south side of the Vistula, 2.1 km south-east of the centre point. It is the one pin outside the Old Town. Locally the weekend makers' fair is known as Świąteczne Targi Rzeczy Wyjątkowych.
4. Christmas Fair on St Mary Magdalene Square
Pin 4 stands on plac św. Marii Magdaleny, 31-044 Kraków, a square on Grodzka Street beside Kanonicza, on the route that leads from the Main Market Square towards Wawel. It lies 0.5 km south of the centre point, inside the Old Town, and holds a small IMAGO fair of crafts and design.

How to get between the Christmas Markets in Krakow
Every distance on the map is a straight line between two pins, not a walking route.
Three markets share the Old Town. The Christmas Fair in the Main Market Square (1) is the centre point; the Christmas Fair on the Small Market Square (2) lies 0.2 km east of it, and the Christmas Fair on St Mary Magdalene Square (4) 0.5 km south, on Grodzka Street. IMAGO's announcement of the new fair shows the St Mary Magdalene Square setting on the way to Wawel (in Polish).
