Trafalgar Square Christmas Market, Winter by the River, Battersea Power Station Christmas Markets and Wembley Park Festive Market have not announced their 2026 dates. Which London Christmas Markets stay open after Christmas?

All the short fairs finish before Christmas. The Norwegian Christmas Fair ends on Sunday 22 November, the Mayfair Christmas Market on 28 November, and St Martins Christmas Market and Chelsea Physic Garden Christmas Fair on 29 November. The City of London Christmas Market, Finnish Church Christmas Fair and Fulham Palace Christmas Fair all close on Sunday 6 December, Hampton Court Palace Festive Fayre on 13 December and the South Bank Christmas Market on 20 December.

Among the markets with 2026 dates, five carry on after Christmas. Chelsea Winter Village & Illuminations is closed on 25 December and reopens until Monday 28 December. Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, the Leicester Square site, Southbank Centre Winter Market and Kingston Christmas Market are still open in January and close on Sunday 3 January 2027, Winter Wonderland's Family Fun Day. Winter Wonderland, the Leicester Square site and Kingston are closed on 25 December.

Past opening dates of the London Christmas Markets

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland has run since 2007, when it began as an open-air Christmas Market in Hyde Park, and the 2026/27 season is its 19th anniversary. It was cancelled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Southbank Centre celebrated 10 years of its Winter Market in 2024, when the market ran from 1 November to 26 December. The 2025/26 market ran from 3 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, and the 2026 market opens on 2 November and closes on 3 January 2027, so in each of these three seasons it opened in the first days of November.

Winter by the River ran from 12 November 2024 to 5 January 2025 and from 13 November 2025 to 4 January 2026. Its 2026 dates have not been announced.
