Munich Christmas Market map

Pin 1 sits on Marienplatz in front of the Town Hall, 0.1 km south-east of the centre point, in Altstadt-Lehel. From there the stalls spread to St Peter's, Rindermarkt, Sendlinger Straße and the Kaufingerstraße and Neuhauser Straße pedestrian zone. The U3 and U6 and the S1 to S8 stop at Marienplatz. Season: 20 November to 24 December 2026.

Wittelsbacherplatz, at Brienner Straße 6-10 in Maxvorstadt, holds pin 2, 0.7 km north of the centre point. The nearest stop is Odeonsplatz, on the U3, U4, U5 and U6 and bus 100. A medieval-style market with old crafts on the square from 20 November to 23 December 2026.

Pin 3 marks the Kaiserhof, a courtyard inside the Residenz, entered from Residenzstraße by Odeonsplatz. It lies in Altstadt-Lehel, 0.5 km north-east of the centre point, and the palace walls shelter the stalls. No entry ticket is needed. Season: 16 November to 22 December 2026.

Pin 4 is on Stephansplatz, a small square in the Glockenbachviertel, part of the Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt district, 1.0 km south-west of the centre point. The queer Christmas Market puts its stalls and show stage on Stephansplatz from 20 November to 20 December 2026.

Pin 5 covers the Theresienwiese in Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt, 2.0 km west of the centre point, and the U4 and U5 stop Theresienwiese serves the main entrance. Walking onto the festival grounds and into the Market of Ideas tent requires no entry ticket, though some shows and events are ticketed. On the Theresienwiese between 24 November and 23 December 2026.

Pin 6 stands around the Chinese Tower pagoda (Chinesischer Turm) in the English Garden, at Englischer Garten 3, 2.1 km north-east of the centre point. Wooden huts with crafts and art ring the pagoda, and the curling lanes are bookable. Season: 19 November to 23 December 2026.

Pin 7 is on Sendlinger-Tor-Platz in Altstadt-Lehel, 0.7 km south-west of the centre point, with the stalls set in front of the Sendlinger Tor city gate. The Sendlinger Tor stop serves the U1, U2, U3, U6, U7 and U8 and trams 16, 17, 18, 27 and 28. Season: 20 November to 22 December 2026.

Pin 8 marks Münchner Freiheit, the pedestrian square in Schwabing, 3.0 km north of the centre point. The U3 and U6 stop at Münchner Freiheit, as do tram 23 and buses 53, 54, 59 and 142. Artists and makers sell their own work on the square from 25 November to 24 December 2026.

Weißenburger Platz in Haidhausen (Au-Haidhausen) carries pin 9, with the stalls set around its fountain, 1.9 km south-east of the centre point. Rosenheimer Platz is close by, served by every S-Bahn line and tram 25; Ostbahnhof is a few minutes on foot. Stalls go up on 24 November 2026, and no closing date has been announced so far.

Also known as the Neuhauser Christkindlmarkt, pin 10 fills the north and south sides of Rotkreuzplatz in Neuhausen-Nymphenburg, 3.5 km north-west of the centre point. The U1 and U7 stop Rotkreuzplatz is directly at the market; tram 12 and four bus lines serve it too. No entry ticket is needed. Season: 20 November to 23 December 2026.

Pin 11 is in Olympiapark Süd, Spiridon-Louis-Ring 100, on the grounds Tollwood uses in summer, 3.8 km north-west of the centre point. Bus 144 stops at Olympiaberg, trams 12, 20 and 21 at Leonrodplatz; there is no parking on site. No entry ticket is needed. Season: 26 November to 28 December 2026; closed on 24 December.

Pin 12 marks Am Harras, the square in Sendling, 3.5 km south-west of the centre point. The S7 and the U6 stop at Harras, alongside several bus lines. The stalls and a stage for bands and choirs share the square from 20 November to 23 December 2026.

Pin 13 is at Rosenkavalierplatz 4 in the Arabellapark, in the Bogenhausen district, 3.7 km north-east of the centre point. On these grounds the heated tents and fire installations stand among fir trees. No entry ticket is needed. Season: 12 November to 23 December 2026.

Pin 14 marks Luise-Kiesselbach-Platz in Sendling-Westpark, 5.0 km south-west of the centre point and still inside the map frame. The local maypole association, the Maibaumverein Sendling-Westpark, is among the organisers. No 2026 dates have been announced yet, so the pin marks the location only.

Off the map frame, an edge chip on the west side points to market 15, 8.4 km west of the centre point. Its site is the forecourt of Maria Schutz church at Bäckerstraße 21 (Schererplatz), in Pasing. Stalls stand there on Saturdays and Sundays of Advent only, between 28 November and 20 December 2026.

Die Macherei, at Berg-am-Laim-Straße 103 in Berg am Laim, holds pin 16 on its Quartiersplatz, 3.7 km east of the centre point. Bookable curling lanes and heated ski gondolas share the square. Open Wednesdays to Saturdays between 19 November and 19 December 2026.

Beyond the north edge of the map frame, a chip for market 17 points 7.0 km north of the centre point to Motorworld München, Am Ausbesserungswerk 8, in Freimann (Schwabing-Freimann). The huts stand among the historic brick halls of the Motorworld site. Season: 7 November to 20 December 2026.

Market 18 is off the map too, shown as an edge chip 6.5 km north-west of the centre point. It sets up as a small hut village on Moosacher St.-Martins-Platz in the Moosach district. The 2026 dates are still to be announced, so the chip gives the location only.
