What is the start date for the Christmas Markets in Dublin?

TwinkleTown Smithfield Square gets going on Friday 20 November 2026 and trades until Thursday 31 December 2026; no other market on the map with 2026 dates so far opens sooner or closes later. Next come Everwinter, from Wednesday 25 November, and TwinkleTown St Patrick's Park, from Friday 27 November. The National Botanic Gardens Sustainable Christmas Craft Market and the Temple Bar Square Christmas Market have dates for 2026 still to come.

One more opening falls in November: the Richmond Barracks Winter Fair, a weekend fair in Inchicore on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November. December begins with the Gifted Contemporary Craft & Design Fair, indoors at the RDS in Ballsbridge from Wednesday 2 December, and The Fumbally Christmas Market, which fills the Fumbally Stables in the Liberties from Friday 4 December. By that Friday, all six markets with confirmed dates have had their opening day.

TwinkleTown's park page lists TwinkleTown's dates for the St Patrick's Park site next to its choirs stage, the Twilight Garden and the family rides. The overview of the Christmas Markets across Dublin lists stalls, food and attractions market by market.

The Dublin Christmas Market calendar, with opening day, closing day and trading days for each market under its number on the map:

Everwinter does not trade on Mondays, which keeps it shut on 30 November and on 7, 14 and 21 December. Gifted fills five days running at the RDS, and the Fumbally market three at the Stables. The Fumbally's own page gives the Fumbally's 2026 Christmas Market dates and the kinds of stalls on show.

Three of the dated markets are over by Sunday 6 December: the Richmond Barracks fair after its November weekend, then Gifted and the Fumbally market, which both wind up on that Sunday. TwinkleTown in St Patrick's Park and Everwinter keep going until Wednesday 23 December 2026.

No market on the map trades from Christmas Eve to St Stephen's Day, 24 to 26 December. The Smithfield site is back on Sunday 27 December for a closing run of five days that ends on Thursday 31 December 2026, which makes it the one market open after Christmas among the markets with confirmed dates. None of those markets runs into January 2027.

At the RDS, the Everwinter ice rink alone is open again between Saturday 26 December and Sunday 3 January 2027, without the market, circus or fairground. Everwinter's 2026 season dates include that rink-only stretch.

Five markets on the map have dates from 2025:

TwinkleTown in Smithfield made its debut in 2025. TwinkleTown in St Patrick's Park and Everwinter are both new in 2026.
