Are the York Christmas Markets open on 24, 25 and 31 December?
No. On the map, all 4 markets have ended their seasons before Christmas Eve. The two November markets, in Acomb and at the racecourse, are over by 22 November, the Yorkshire Yuletide Village finishes on 20 December, and the York Christmas Market closes for the year at 17:00 on 21 December. Nothing on the map opens on 24, 25, 26 or 31 December, and no market reopens on 1 January.
England's bank holidays over the period fall on 25 December, on 28 December as the substitute day for Boxing Day, and on 1 January 2027, with no market on the map trading on any of them.

The Tuesday rest day and the last day in York
The York Christmas Market is closed on Tuesdays, its weekly rest day. In 2026 that means 17 and 24 November and 1, 8 and 15 December. Shops, attractions, cafes and restaurants elsewhere in York stay open on those Tuesdays, and the Yuletide Village in the Guildhall trades on them as well, at its usual 10:00 to 16:30.
On the other six days of the week the Parliament Street market keeps its 10:30 to 19:00 hours, Sundays included. Its season ends on Monday 21 December, when the stalls are open from 10:30 to 17:00.
